What is the VPN service?

The Network Group operates a VPN server capable of providing an IP address extension service to off-campus users. This enables off-campus users to access IP-restricted services.

Future Plans

The Network Group continues to evaluate new VPN technologies. Our current server implements no encryption in an effort to be be interoperable across computing platforms. As new products are available, we hope to provide an interoperable service that offers data encryption.
